Homemaking, Homeschooling, Large Family

It’s Already December!

Wow! Time has gotten away from me. We have been so busy this fall that I have neglected getting some posts up on this blog. Thought I would pop in and do a quick update. I probably won’t be very regular on here since we are 2 weeks away from Christmas, and expecting baby #7 within the next 3-4 weeks.

We have been plugging away at school. Everyone is enjoying it. We have had to cut out a few things because there just isn’t time for everything but the kids are still learning and I enjoy the time I get to spend with them doing it.

Since it is the Christmas season, we have enjoyed a homeschool Christmas party, making and decorating sugar cookies together, putting together and decorating some gingerbread houses, Austin and I enjoyed a night out at a company Christmas party and last night we enjoyed a pizza dinner and the Denver zoo lights with family. Next week we will be performing in our church’s Christmas program and then the week after that is Christmas!

This year we have been reading from a book called “The Expected One” for advent. It is a great little book and I have really enjoyed how it keeps our minds focused on Jesus during this holiday season. Its so easy to get caught up in all the stuff that Christmas brings with it, so I am appreciative of my husband who got the book and reads it to us every night after dinner.

We have a little less than 3 weeks until my due date with baby. She is growing and mama is ready to meet her. I think I have everything ready for her and am excited to meet her. The little girls keep asking when she will be born. They are very excited too and don’t understand why I can’t tell them exactly when this baby will make her appearance. Please be in prayer for us as we are planning another unassisted home birth.
